How to use

Get started in 3 easy steps.

We run BayBoard for you, so there is nothing to install and no hosting to buy. Your shop’s data stays yours: download it or delete it whenever you like.

1

Create your shop

Sign up with your email, or book a free demo and we’ll set it up with you. Tell us what you repair and BayBoard adapts its wording.

2

Set up your team

Add your logo, invite your mechanics and managers, and share your customer drop-off link on your website or at the counter.

3

Take your first job

Check a customer in, assign a technician, track time, send an estimate for approval and hand over a PDF work order.

Your data stays yours

Clear, simple and in your control.

Your shop is responsible for its customers’ information. BayBoard only stores it on your behalf, to run the service — never to sell it or advertise.

Take it with you

Download everything in one click: spreadsheets of your jobs, customers, parts, notes and estimates, plus your photos and signatures.

Delete it any time

An owner can delete the whole shop in Shop Settings. Your data is removed from our live system straight away.

Private and secure

Each shop is kept separate. Turn on two-step login, and see who signed in and what changed in your activity log.

Stored on servers in France (European Union), with daily backups in Lithuania. Read the privacy policy.

Privacy built in

Help your customers feel safe too.

A privacy notice on your drop-off form

Customers see in plain words how your shop uses their details and tick a box to agree. BayBoard records when they did.

Opt-in for reminders and offers

Customers choose whether to hear from you again, so you only message people who said yes.

Your privacy contact

Add the email or phone number customers can use to ask about their information, and it appears in the notice.

No card numbers stored

BayBoard does not store payment card numbers.

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I need to be technical?

No. BayBoard runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install and no hosting to buy. Sign up, add your team and start taking jobs.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in France (European Union), with daily backups kept in Lithuania (also in the EU). Our Privacy Policy explains this in full. If a specific storage location matters to your shop, please ask us before you sign up.

Is my data really mine?

Yes. Your shop is responsible for its customers’ information and BayBoard only stores and processes it on your behalf, to run the service. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

Can I take my data with me?

Any time. In Shop Settings, an owner can download a ZIP file with spreadsheets of every job, customer detail, part, note, estimate and staff member, plus all photos and signatures.

What happens if I delete my account?

An owner can delete the whole shop in Shop Settings. Your data and uploaded files are removed from our live system straight away. Copies in the hosting provider’s backups disappear as those backups expire.

How do you keep it secure?

Each shop’s data is kept separate, passwords are hashed, the connection is encrypted, and owners and managers can turn on two-step verification. Owners also get an activity log showing sign-ins and admin changes.

What is a dedicated setup?

It is an optional extra for shops that want BayBoard on their own web hosting. You buy hosting in your own name and we install and set up BayBoard there, so the data lives in your own hosting account. It costs extra, because it takes more work to set up and look after. Ask us for a quote.

Can I share a dedicated install with other shops?

No. A dedicated setup is licensed for one customer on one web address. The install checks its license with us once a day, and it will not run for a different customer or address. If you open a second shop, ask us about a second license.

Can I try BayBoard first?

Yes. Open the live demo to try a sample shop with fake data — no sign-up needed — or book a free demo and we’ll walk through it with your kind of jobs.
